Perched on a garden-framed hillside overlooking picturesque Linekin Bay, The Five Gables bed and breakfast is one of coastal Maine's most exciting restoration projects, bringing back to life the only remaining summer hotel in East Boothbay, Maine.

The Five Gables began life more than one hundred years ago as the Forest House. The inn, which has always been a lodging
establishment and never a private home and has had only 4 owners since 1896. It still has a broad veranda with a hammock and plenty of comfy chairs overlooking a quiet cove where lobster boats tug at their moorings. Just kick back and relax, or take a lingering walk down the lane to the East Boothbay General Store.

Your Innkeepers Mike and De invite you to settle in and enjoy our coastal bed and breakfast inn in our comfortable common room, where a crackling fire entices you to curl up and savor the warm, restful atmosphere. Many guests just sink into welcoming wing-back chairs, while reading selections from our library.
Every morning you will enjoy an extensive buffet breakfast prepared by Mike, a Culinary Institute of America graduate.
