Coastal Maine Inn

We recently returned from our annual New England fall foliage trip, where we rendezvoused with Canadian friends for tow memorable days at Five Gables Inn is East Booth Bay, Maine. 
The inn is ideally located halfway between Boston and Bar Harbor, Maine, only 3 miles from Both Bay Harbor, affording easy day trips up and down the Maine coast.

Warmly hospitable innkeepers Mike and De Kennedy provide 16 beautiful, individually decorated guest rooms, all with private baths and views of Linekin Bay.  An incomparable buffet breakfast changes daily, prepared by Mike, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America,  and is served on the extensive wraparound veranda or before the fireplace in the large common room. Afternoon refreshments include homemade pastries.

The inn is open June through October. Rates are $110 to $145, single or double, and $175 for the deluxe king with fireplace.  We’ll return for  a longer say in the future.
